Director of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum
Rev. Nicholas Inman worked alongside longtime director, Jean Coday as Assistant Director of the Laura Ingalls Wilder Home and Museum, before becoming Director in 2018. He has been a longtime volunteer and supporter of the Wilder Home, making his first visit to Rocky Ridge farm as a child in 1986. He was elected as a board member of the Association in 2016.

The Wilder Home Association
After Laura’s death in 1957, her daughter Rose Wilder Lane and Mansfield resident and close friend Irene Lichty, formed the Wilder Home Association with the vision to preserve intact the Wilder home and its many treasures. At that time, the association got its start with the establishment of $100.00 memberships – the exact amount Laura and Almanzo saved to purchase the land we would affectionately come to know as Rocky Ridge Farm. Over the years, we have been blessed by our many supporters who share our same vision and values. Today, we seek not only to preserve Laura’s legacy but to continue her story by supporting the future of the historic Rocky Ridge Farm. It’s an exciting time to become a member and we encourage your consideration.

The Wilder Home Association Board Members
The Wilder Home Association was established in 1957. Over the years, it has developed many supporters that wished to be a part of this work. These dedicated people believe in the ideals and pioneer values of the Wilder writings, which emanated from these historic homes in the Ozarks.
The trustees of the Wilder Home Association of Mansfield, Missouri have dedicated themselves to the continuous restoration and preservation of Rocky Ridge Farm in order to provide a unique personal and educational experience.
They have invested years of research, planning and preparation in order to enhance the Laura Ingalls Wilder Historic Home and Museum experience. This historic project will create additional economic value for the Missouri Ozarks Region. With a vetted master plan in hand and the support of regional (and national) leaders, the board works toward establishing the next chapter of Laura’s story.
